Ideally, I'd like to use my laptop screen for presenter notes, the projector screen for the slides (which is shared with remote students), and my iPad sidecar to keep the web browser window with the class chat open.Īfter playing with the display and Keynote presenter view settings for awhile, I haven't been able to find a way to reserve my iPad's screen for another application (e.g., Safari). Move the mouse to its upper-right corner, and buttons appear. When I set up Keynote to show presenter notes on my laptop and just the slideshow on the projector screen, it does the exact opposite. One of the complications arising from this is the need to keep track of what my remote students are saying in the class chat window as I present slides off of my laptop to the students in the classroom (via a projector) and to the remote students (via a shared screen). This will capture the PowerPoint or Keynote slides when you present in presenter mode. I'm teaching a combination of in-person and remote students this semester. The simplest set up when recording using your own laptop and presenting in presenter mode is not to record the main screen, but ensure you select either PowerPoint or Keynote as a recording source. To view your presenter notes during your presentation, play your slideshow in full-screen mode on a connected display. ![]()
